Vastu, the Yoga of Design, is a sister science of Ayurveda. Environmental factors profoundly affect our health. Vastu provides practical support to “avert the danger that has not yet arisen” — and remove or lessen the vibrational effect of external factors that damage our vitality and well-being. Learn how to work with the five elements and directions to create more supportive and nourishing living and workspaces.

Faculty Instructors
Sherri Silverman, PhD, has worked with Vastu clients since 1999. As one of the most experienced Vastu consultants and author of the acclaimed book Vastu: Transcendental Home Design in Harmony with Nature (2007), she is one of the world’s leading Vastu experts. Sherri taught meditation, yoga, and spiritual development courses for decades; she studied directly with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (TM) and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Art of Living). She was an adjunct professor at Naropa and other universities, teaching a wide range of subjects. Her doctorate is in Creativity, Art, and the Sacred & Application of Asian Concepts. Besides Vastu, her main focus is on being an artist. Sherri is adept at making Vedic knowledge clear and accessible. She began studying Ayurveda in 1984 and brings that understanding into her Vastu Course at Sevanti Institute.
