Ayurveda Student Clinic

The Ayurveda Student Clinic is a community-based online wellness center made available through a collaboration between Sevanti Institute and SWC. We offer Ayurveda counseling services to the public for reduced rates by our supervised student Clinic Interns.

Welcome

Clinic Interns

The Student Clinic offers low-cost Ayurveda counseling sessions with our supervised Clinic Interns. These student interns have qualified to practice after completing two years of advanced studies with Sevanti Institute and are currently receiving clinical training in the Clinical Supervision Program. Clinic Interns are in the process of learning how to manage client cases and are being carefully supervised by SWC Clinic Supervisors. We thank you for supporting our Clinic Interns and the Student Clinic.

Supervision Process

SWC Clinic Interns are closely supervised on every client they work with to assure accurate results. Upon conducting the initial 90-120 min intake, Clinic Interns will present your case report to the Clinic Supervisor for review. Every aspect of your condition is discussed and the diagnostics are fine-tuned. All recommendations – dietary, lifestyle, herbal therapies, etc. – are carefully analyzed prior to sharing with you in a short follow-up session.

Services

The Student Clinic services include traditional Ayurveda consultations, traditional Ayurveda dosha assessments, and diagnostics, personalized Ayurvedic nutritional and lifestyle plans, customized herbal therapy plans, home cleansing, daily routines, and the use of appropriate Ayurvedic oils, and more.

Alison Marcinik

Alison Marcinik is a 500 hr. Certified Yoga Teacher from Yoga Bliss Akron and Yoga 108 with Tracy Rhinehart and has been teaching for a decade. She has sought out various trainings, retreats and workshops from master teachers and is committed to ongoing personal and professional development to deepen her knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda. Yoga and meditation helped her tune into her body and as she did she noticed a few health concerns that needed to be addressed. She took a deep dive into exploring all that alternative medicine had to offer and luckily found Ayurveda (or it found her) at the exact moment she needed it. Alison has consistently studied holistic therapies including Ayurveda, breath practices, meditation and Reiki. She completed levels 1 and 2 of Holy Fire Reiki as well as levels 1 & 2 of the Ayurveda Wellness Counselor program (AWCP) at Sevanti Institute. Ayurveda has been a transformative force in her life, offering profound benefits. Thrilled by the positive impact it has had on her well-being, she is now eager to share the wisdom she has gained. Her mission is to guide others on their path to optimal health by harmonizing the mind, body and spirit through the principles of Ayurveda. She aims to create a positive impact on the lives of those she has the privilege to guide. Outside of health and wellness the things that bring her joy are the simple things in life; walking through the forests, going on adventures without a game plan, laying in a hammock and snuggling with her animals at home.

Pam Shelton

Living in a small town in Oklahoma, I started working in a pharmacy and watched our customers confiding their most personal health concerns to the pharmacist. It was this connection I observed that led me wanting to help people with healing. Eventually I became a pharmacist working in nursing homes helping to manage drug therapy. I knew how limiting and sometimes harmful medication can be and was frustrated. Ayurveda found me in a yoga studio. I had 4 sessions with the Ayurveda practitioner and knew I had to be one. I graduated from California College of Ayurveda but was not confident or ready to go out on my own. I found the Sevanti program and began putting all the pieces together. Each teacher sparked a new interest and put me on a lifelong Ayurveda quest. This requires good health, vitality and a sharp mind. I am grateful for the way and when Ayurveda came into my life and how it provided me a way to lead a long and physically optimal life. I am grateful to Sevanti to be able and ready to share this with.
